Description
New for 2019, The Ascent is Sea to Summit’s top end tapered rectangular down sleeping bag. This is the shape that suits most users and features a separate panelled foot box zip allowing toes-out ventilation or a complete opening of the bag into a quilt. It also zips together with the women’s Altitude to make a cosy double bed. A separate half zip on the other side of the bag allows for use of both arms in bed plus extra ventilation if required.
When closed up though, all zips are protected by carefully-placed anti-snag draught tubes and the ergonomically-designed foot box is a pleasure the relax into. Offset baffles eliminate cold spots and vertical baffles on the chest area prevent migration when horizontal. The generous 3D hood has a dual adjustment draw cord. The 20D Nylon shell is coated with an ultra strong DWR treatment – and the fill itself is 750+ Loft Ultra-Dry Down to virtually eliminate the danger of wet feathers.
The Ascent II has an EN13537 temperature comfort range of -4°C to -10°C and Comes with an internal security pocket, compression sack and laundry bag. The regular bag is designed for users between 170 cm and 183 cm tall and the long bag is designed for users between 183 cm and 195 cm tall.
